GRASS ROOTS PLAY AFTER SCHOOL CLUB IS HIRING!
Do you enjoy play? Are you an active and energetic person? Are you a big child at heart?
If so, read on, you may be who we are looking for!
WHO ARE WE?
We are Grass Roots Play! We are a young and vibrant After School Club based at a growing number of schools in the London Boroughs of Barnet, Enfield and Haringey. Our goal is in our name, we want to bring play back to the grass roots level, right where it should be, with the children.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking to hire across the board: Playworkers, Senior Playworkers, and Club Managers. Depending on your qualifications, we’ll find the right role for you!
Not qualified, but feel you have the potential? Get in touch! Full NVQ training could be available for the right candidate, especially if you have had previous experience working with children. (All staff will undergo Enhanced DBS checks).
There is a real chance of career development in this role. If you are hardworking and put in the training hours you could end up in one of our Managerial roles.
SO WHAT DO WE WANT FROM OUR PLAYWORKERS EXACTLY?
We want you to be able to:
– Encourage and support child-lead play activities for 4-11 year olds.
– Supervise the safety and welfare of children.
– Work as part of a team to create a positive working environment.
– Actively participate in training and development.
– Be energetic, happy and fun!
For the Senior Playworker and Club Manager roles, your responsibilities will increase in line with your qualifications and the goals and aims of Grass Roots Play.
Successful applicants will have to undergo and pass an enhanced disclosure check. (Don’t worry about the cost; we are happy to pay to make sure our kids are in safe hands)!
WHAT CAN WE OFFER YOU?
Pay will be in line with the National Living Wage and will depend on qualifications, experience and the role we offer you.
Typical working hours are 3pm to 6pm, Monday to Friday during school term time. So approximately 15-18 hours a week.
